41 years since anyone but the old firm have won the title in Scotland, but I guess the all important thing is that Celtic now lead Rangers by 56 titles to 55.

A pox on both their houses imo

Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs have 4 titles each
All the others put together have 7 between them
That's pretty poor for 130 seasons of football

I think I'm with the Partick Thistle fans that sing:

hello hello, how do you do?
we hate the boys in royal blue
we hate the boys in emerald green
this song's been censored, now it's clean*

*They don't actually sing that last line, it's got mentions of the head of the Catholic church and the reigning Monarch pre Charles

It's all either of them care about. Oh, and whingeing when they get papped out of Europe early doors because the league isn't competitive enough...

Everyone hates them to varying degrees, but I think it's a bit extra when it comes to Partick because they're pretty much always forgotten as being in Glasgow, Queens Park too.

I haven't given up hope. Chelsea and Everton are going to be two tough games for Spurs.
Mathematically yes we can still stay up but realistically no!
While Leeds,Forest and Tottenham have improved in the latter stages of the season we have not.Losing our last three matches has put us needing a miracle.
I admire your positivity Joe but for me i've already come round to playing in the Championship next season.
If we do survive i'll eat my hat!🎩^_^

I might hold you to that ^_^ We've got nothing to lose, and Spurs could be getting nervy now as the pressure is all on them if Chelsea beat them.

If we drop, so be it. The club is still there and Championship football is often a more interesting watch than the EPL. Of the 92 clubs, 72 survive outside the top tier so all though we'd prefer to stay there, we can still enjoy what we've got.

Even if Spurs do lose both remaining games, West ham still need to win their last game. A draw would not be enough unless Spurs ship insane numbers of goals in the process.

Maresca replacing Guardiola is looking all but confirmed. If so, Maresca clearly engineered his own sacking from Chelsea getting himself a nice pay off and (surely) knowing he was deliberately doing so to take over at Man City next season. IMO not the type of person you really want managing your club, although I am sure City fans won't care if they win anything with him.

What was Maresca's record at Chelsea? I don't remember anything outstanding.
Edit - Google tells me it was pretty good but I take the point of integrity and self interest.

4th place last season. He did win the Euro conference league and World Club Championship, but I think most would argue they are fairly meaningless trophies. His win record there was good at just under 60% which is what you would expect from a top 4 Manager.

Yes, he is clearly a good Manager, but as you say he strikes me as someone who is going to look after himself if things go wrong. Following on from 10 years of Guardiola (plus the 115 charges still pending), there is plenty of scope for things to go South!
