As a Bluenose I will be cheering for the Villa ( don't tell my older brother that, he's a Villan and I have to pretend to keep the rivalry alive)
We were hoping Blues would be promoted, it has to be good for the Midlands (even though I don’t live there anymore), especially with Wolves and the Baggies off the pace.

I did indeed. Have a friend who lives in Weymouth and I always visit the Dolphin when I pop down on the train from Poole.

A few here may know of the 1960 cup final ticket scandal. I'm sketchy on the detail but Rovers played Wolves and got beat 3 - 0, however thousands of Rovers were unable to get tickets yet players had plenty to sell on. That, I think, was the gist of it. That shadow hung over the club for decades with many giving it as a reason not to go to Ewood.

Thought he should go. Surprised he seems to have been omitted in favour of Dan Burn who really hasn't looked international standard.
No complaints over Foden and Parmer, both have had poor seasons.

It seems to me Southampton cheated against Boro and so the match should be awarded to Boro. By expelling Southampton this is effectively what happened but it would have been a lot cleaner to simply award Boro the tie. The expulsion suggests more widespread cheating, which I appreciate Southampton have admitted, and opens the door to other clubs considering action.

This really couldn't be more damning of Southampton's behaviour on every level. One has to ask should Eckert be allowed to work in English football again? He is clearly a cheat of the highest order. The pressure reported to have been applied to junior staff must also question his moral compass.
