It's a world game. The Olympics and the world championships in various sports including cycling have competitors from nations with zero chance but they still love taking part ahnd no one resents them being there.

All the FIFA member countries enter the World Cup but not all qualify for the finals. It would be crazy to have 1/3 of the countries qualify for the finals.
For the Olympics, atheltes in all sports still have to qualify to reach the games

I have realised after that game, all those occasions in the Champions League where Madrid pulled it out of the bag at the death. It is the Ancelotti effect, nothing to do with the players! 😂

This so reminds me of when I spotted a sign on top of a car during my window cleaning days. The sign said 'DR VING'. The owner of the car was a customer of mine from the Indian sub continent, so my thoughts were mmm, maybe he's some kind of guru who practises herbal medicine etc.🤔 After a few months I had to ask him what the sign meant. He told me it meant DRIVING instructor, but the letter I had fallen off and the 'instructor' was in so tiny letters it/they were hardly noticeable!🤭
