Do you think he's better than Shearer was? I think his record says yes, but I think Shearer scored more spectacular goals than Kane does. I remember watching Shearer at Blackburn in the Premier League. He's the best striker I've ever watched/seen 'in the flesh'! His talent was wasted playing for Newcastle at the peak of his career. He should've gone to a bigger, trophy winning club and then gone to Newcastle when his career was in it's latter stages. According to reports at the time of Shearer's departure from Blackburn, he wanted to go to Man United to win trophies and medals, but the then Rovers Chairman Jack Walker said that 'no way is our top player leaving to join our then biggest rival'.

Kane's all-round play is way above Shearer's - his passing range especially, and I say that as an Arsenal fan that was heartily sick of him scoring penalties against us every game we played them.

As an Arsenal fan I was immensely privileged to be able to support a team - and see them play in the flesh - that has included Ian Wright, Thiery Henry and Dennis Bergkamp. I've seen us play against Batistuta, Etoo, Henke Larsson and Ronaldinho, as well as a range of premier league strikers, including Drogba and Shevchenko and I think Shearer. Players we played I didn't get to see live (but rest assured I saw on TV!) included Ronaldo (original 9), Zidane, Trezeguet and Zlatan.

While Bergkamp did incredible things with the ball, Henry was by the far the best striker I got to see with any degree of regularity, and to my mind was the best that ever played in the Premier League

Not exactly daylight robbery but that was by the skin of our teeth.
We lack creativity clearly. Madouake was the rare spark.
Gordon is a mystery - what's he got that's worth Barca spunking all that money on him? Rashford, I like, but he was poor. I'm not sure they'd be up to it but I kind of wish Palmer and Foden were here to raise the squad from mundane workers. Bellingham, Rice and Kane are excused.

For me, Gordon has got more than Rashford. It certainly made a difference when he and Saka came on.

I thought I'd heard that name before, when England's assistant manager Anthony Barry did a BBC half time interview. He played for Accrington Stanley during our 2005/Conference winning season and had three spells at the club, then was the club's under 16's coach, which was the start of his coaching career.

The last time there was an ex Accrington Stanley player on the England manager and assistants bench was when we won the world cup 60 long years ago, when ex 1950's Stanley player Les Cocker was England's 'sponge man'. Is this an omen I wonder? 🤔 😉

Gordon has obviously got more talent than he's shown so far in this tournament so definitely worth persisting with.
He seems like a rabbit in the headlights.
I'll be interested to see how he copes in La Liga.

That's higher than the villages in Tignes, and just below Val Thorens.
Cycling fans know that over 2,000 m the altitude affects some people worse than others.
