Gordon has obviously got more talent than he's shown so far in this tournament so definitely worth persisting with.
He seems like a rabbit in the headlights.
I'll be interested to see how he copes in La Liga.

He is a good player but I am rather baffled by the Barca move, but if he is good enough he will prove us all wrong.

The England issue is that Tuchel has picked a system of using wide players and will persist with it. The problem is that all the wide players he has picked have been wildly inconsistent game to game, so he is constantly having to chop and change and hope one of them produces, a la Gordon when he came on.

This, from an English pal:

I'm still not impressed with O'Reilly. His touch has been poor and he looks nervous. Konsa isn't good enough at this level and I'm not sure Pickford is. But our defence is allover the place. Our style of play seems really obvious too, which is get it wide. But you need to get good crosses into the box if that's you're style and both Madueke and Rashford want to cut back onto their natural feet so we never hit the byline.

I want to see fullbacks overlapping as well, which we did a bit more in the second half. If your team is good enough you're organised to get someone to drop into the space to cover, but it creates more problems for defenders by giving them two forward thinking players to go up against, but we don't do it enough and it's similar to the problem I've had with our midfield for ages which is very few players run beyond Kane, and they need to, especially when he drops deep, otherwise there's nobody in the box. And don't even get me started on worshipping of Bellingham by the pundits when I don't think he's done anywhere enough to deserve it in this tournament!!

For all the talk of England v Brazil in a possible qtr final. I will stick my neck out and say that if we beat Mexico, I suspect we will be playing Norway not Brazil.

I think Brazil might be starting to click, and Norway will be rowing home

Mexico in the Azteca might be a step too far for us, I think - especially if we don't get a right back fit in time. Rice looks broken, covering RB at 2,200m altitude with 85k fans might be less than ideal, though at least it shouldn't be too hot

It's certainly a close match given what we have seen. I just think Haaland might be a decisive factor, he looks confident again.

I really don't know which way it will go. Agreed Rice has had it, I'd play Mainoo but Tuchel won't. Tuchel seems to have made his mind up completely that this is his sole tactical approach and that it is boom or bust. It kind of wouldn't surprise me if we lost next round and it wouldn't suprise me if we got to the final. All cards are firmly on the table at this point 😂
