That final ~20mins plus added time was the worst England played all tournament, you can't invite pressure like that against a consistently top team like Argentina.

I agree but we scored in the 55th minute so it was actually 30 minutes of defending until they scored.
Very disappointed with Tuchel and his tactics.

I thought it was very classy of Hart to basically put Richards in his box and take a moment to acknowledge the players, as well as Remind viewers that a semi is something they'd never achieved (fnarr fnarr).

All three goals were high quality; I'm glad they were the deciding factors, and not any shenanigans or dodgy ref decisions.

They got a £20,000 fine for doing it against Slovenia, but that was in 2014 and just a friendly. It won't be more than a fine, though it may be heftier given the circumstances.

Did Tuchel's subs lose us the game? Well, he said he reacted to Argentina getting the upper hand. Match stats show (after conceding in min 55) ARG had dominance in every minute following. Tuchel didn't react until 72' - taking off Gordon.
The later substitutions were all defenders or like-for-like.
Did Tuchel tell the players to sit back and defend? I've seen no evidence.
Did they decide to sit back? Well perhaps subconsciously; but in reality it will be a response to more aggresive play by the World Champions, and an aggregation of many small decisions (tracking back when they could have stayed upfield, playing a safe clearance instead of trying to start a move, etc ... )
