Well Carlos resigning is about the game, over the money.
And the "deal" is all about corruption.
It is not good for any organisation involved in football, but only for the individuals raking the top off it.

Speaking of disgusting corruption in football, Chelsea get away with a slap on the wrist. Absolutely disgusted by this.

Looks like they'll be pushing for some way to remove Infantino from power/reduce his power (hydration break Gianni? take your time...) before the presidential election next spring, and that they'll be backing a different horse now. People that know more about this stuff than me suggest that means they think they have the backing of CONCACAF, AFC and presumably OFC in this.
