Has anyone shown this to our resident military historian Dan?
He's probably confused enough already. I know academic standards have allegedly dropped....unfortunately he seems to be offering compelling evidence of that.....

Darling Darlings!

Have a wonderful trip.
Know that I am too sad not to be with you en France, eating butter de Normande, drinking wine, going up the hills in boys gears and listening to your chitter chatter.
Don't try and keep up with Gordon he's a terrific old buzzard and has legs of steel.
Do keep us posted on what's a happening and put up pics for Gods Sake!

Keep em turning brothers and sisters, keep em turning.

Loads of love from your ever faithful Agent H

Thanks for the good wishes, AH. We shall miss you.
The bad news for riders is that on Friday next week the wind will be from the right. Until then, it will be behind us every day, with temperatures of about 25 degrees. And although next Friday the wind is not behind us, the temperature is forecast to be 30 degrees. Which is nice. No sign of rain at all. I might leave the yellow waterproof Rainlegs behind.

We're now settled into Le Normandie at Ouistreham, having swapped our second floor room for a ground floor one to avoid carting the bike case up two flights of narrow stairs. This morning is earmarked for reconstructing the bike; the afternoon for doing any essential shopping that we find we need once we check what is actually in the bags. And looking out for the arrival of the mmmartin and Mark.

Looking forward to seeing everyone else tomorrow!

The forecast on the ship says the winds on the channel overnight will be feeble. Looks like a good crossing.

Have fun everyone !!! Looks like you're going to have a ball weather-wise.

I do hope this event is still running in a few years' time when we will either be able to abandon children or alternatively bring them with us.

The brave boys of the advance guard are nearing the beaches. We are girding our loins ready to hit French soil. It's a beautiful day out there.
