Who would steal something like that? The mind bogles!

Do you think these do make other road users think? Do you think they could put people off cycling?

its come up a few times, everyone has different views on them. some say they help, some say they make cycling seem dangerous. I like to look at them and think about the poor person who it is there for.

interesting reading the actual site, and reports from people who have been hit. One tells of a taxi driver saying something about how its ironic that the cyclist he just hit, doesnt have inssurence, before driving off

i think the ghost bikes are a brilliant idea, they really do have a striking look to them that triggers something off in the mind along with the realisation that someone actually died on that spot. very sad but also very effective

if they just make people think about the dangers of being impatient around cyclists then they are worth while.

it's time for the drivers of this world (myself included) to realise that the bicycle is a justifiable mode of transport and has a rightful place on the roads.

if we could have just half the amount of courtesy that horses get then it would be a step forwards.

i really wish we didn't need ghost bikes but a long as we do, I'm all for them

Cant see how to post a comment on the site though:angry:

Its true you can be painted day glo yellow and enough lights to drain a power station and yet they still will not see you .

Every section of society has rule breakers be it rlj etc but how many of those motorists speed, use phones and drive when they have had a drink? Of course they dont they are all model citizens.

To quote a piece i read in a paper listings the causes of moral decline in society today

"Every wants rights.......But no-one wants responsibility "
