The Hebridean Way Questions for experienced cyclists!

I have a ferry booked for the middle of May to do the
Hebridean way, but will probaly have to cancel as I can
Not get a bike booking with Transpeenine express or Scott rail
hope you have a good trip

Glasgow to Oban should not be a problem as there is now a dedicated cycle carriage but you may have to stay in Oban overnight which is a bigger problem. The youth hostel gets good reports and there are independent hostels as well.

I have considered cycling to Oban from Glasgow but as things stand
I can not get a bike booking on any train but i will keep trying not giving
in just yet

I don’t know what dates you are going for but it appears bike spaces are only released as far as 14th May. I’m able to select a bike space up to that date but not beyond. It might just be a case of waiting a week or two then booking depending what date you are aiming at.

My travel date is the 14 th of May , may be I will have better luck
next week I shall keep trying as the Hebridian way was going to
Be my major tour this year if no luck with bike reservations I will
See if I can book my bike on cross country train to Portsmouth and give
semaine fedral a whirl we shall see

Decide on N to S or S to N just before you depart and go with most favourable wind direction.

Tickets and bike booked Manchester to Oban will be seting off on Friday the 13 of May 😮
Had to change days to get a bike booking , will be traveling South to North Bara to stornoway
that's the way the wind blows most of the time apparently
