so now would be great time to start again.

Vinyl sales are up massively (in relative terms) and in the last 12 months I've probably bought 40 odd albums, plus box sets of the Beatles (brilliant remastering and cutting), the Who (great box set and good cutting) and Black Sabbath (with reengineering by a duck TBH). Its now got to the point that I'm running out of storage space again

Where are you buying these? Shops? Online?

shops, in particular Fives in Essex, you need to find local shops rather than big megastores - not that there are any of those anymore

i like to keep local businesses going if I can so buy records locally, bikes locally, etc, and just use online for a wider range of things I cant locate. it may cost me more but tbh I can afford it, and prefer local shops to be occupied rather than boarded up.

I'm glad I read through this thread prior to posting the picture of me in my rubberised nurses outfit.

Your all talking bout records and I was just gonna show you my open crotch and moobs!

Anyway, better go take it off I've got to get to work.

I think it not too far from the truth to say that most of the emotions of my youth were channelled through vinyl (records, pauldavid, records). Those and, to a lesser extent, books.

My records are still boxed up after our move to France 5 years ago. I've been doing man type stuff in the interim (diy etc). Perhaps it's time to regress.

Anybody got a pair of Technics 1200's or 1210's for sale? Vinyl is so much more fun with two turntables and putting ones fingers all over the grooves when queueing up the next track is quite liberating.
