The Lancashire Loop Cycle Ride on Sunday 18th September 2016 offers you two circular routes, each taking you on a beautiful journey through picturesque Lancashire countryside.
This year the Lancashire Loop Cycle Challenge will be held in memory of Jim Hall, one of our charity patrons, who sadly passed away earlier this year. Jim was passionate about cycling, and eleven years ago he designed the Lancashire Loop route for us. We were so privileged to have benefited from his dedication and enthusiastic support of our work.
The 18 mile option is the flattest of the routes and most suitable for novice cyclists and those cycling with children, and the 50 mile route hits you with a few hills to start off with but, once you’re past the 30 mile point, it becomes a lot flatter and each year we have many inexperienced cyclists successfully complete this circuit. Both routes start at Cockerham Village Hall (LA2 0EF), near Lancaster, and you will be cycling through the stunning Ribble Valley, Bowland Fells and Lune Valley.
Both circular routes are on road, fully signed and will have back markers, a bike mechanic and medical support if you encounter any difficulties. There will be refreshment stops on route at Chipping and Nateby, as well as food and drink available to buy at Cockerham Village Hall. Why not arrange for family and friends to be at the hall as you cross the finish line and be your very own cheering squad?
The registration desk opens at 9am, with the 50-mile ride starting at 10am, and the 18 mile at 12 noon.

50 mile route: Registration is a non-refundable/ transferable £30 per person
