I struggled through the morning snow and ice to get an early train from Winchester to Southampton to attend a first aid course for some volunteering work (don't like to talk about it obv ;)). The trains were wrecked, so I was pleased to arrive at the reception on time. The weather is likely to be much better on the 19th MAY, which is when the course actually takes place.

So, I'm an idiot. But you're almost certainly an idiot too. Lets have your stories to make me feel better. No humble-brags or "but it all turned out for the best". I want unrewarded stupidity.

I've never done anything wrong

That I'll ever admit to.

I once turned up to school in full uniform*** a day early. It was clear no one was there, so I slunk off home (5 km including tram trip) praying that no one from the school would be passing and witness my very obvious public shame.

If they did, no one ever teased me about this.

**hunting Stuart Tartan, red jumper etc etc. Very conspicuous on a non-school day.

I once turned up for work, opened the office up and got everything ready for the start of the week........only to realise about 30 minutes later that it was a Bank Holiday Monday and the office was closed that day.
Turned up for work, for a shift(Early hours) that wasn't happening. Once the laughing stopped I got a free breakfast before turning and cycling back home.

Returned for the evening shift though.

Forgot the TdeF was a week late this year and have double booked the dates when I should have been going to France to watch it. I'm still getting abuse from friends via WhatsApp.

Turned up for a hozzy appt. a week early and apologised to the receptionist that I was a bit late.

I'm forever doing it. I spend a long time double checking dates these days and still get it wrong.

Got up, got ready, took kids to school ready to go to work at (another) school myself... realised their school had a training day. This would have been less of a "special kind of stupid" moment if I didn't actually work in their school too... albeit on a different day of the week.

Fortunately a mate who lives round the corner from their school was off as her kids (at yet another school) also had a training day and she was able to come to my rescue!

When i wer a lad and helping me dad decorate a customers house.I undercoated a whole room with the wrong undercoat.A really dark colour instead of off white to say he lost his temper was an understatement.

Back in my childminding days, I had been out for the day so turned up for the school pick up in the car - a rare occurrence as I usually walked. Got the double buggy out of the boot, loaded in the small baby and the slightly bigger baby and went into the playground to pick up my 5 year old and the minded 5 year old. We had our usual pleasant walk home only to have a "Bugger, the car's been nicked . . . oh, wait" moment as I reached my drive. We all trooped off back to school with everyone giving me funny looks to collect the forgotten car!
