The Metric Century (100KM) A Month Challenge ChatZone

Will wait and see. Last posted ride was Sept. Fingers crossed for 10 finishers!

For some reasons Cyclechat regularly loses my posts. I updated October but that went AWOL. Anyway, all done for 2025. Finished the Maldon ride in pitch black (I had lights) and heavy rain due to a mechanical at the start slowing things down. Final couple of km were a gentle descent where I couldn't see the road surface at all, every pothole was a delightful surprise! lol

That’s me done! After the first two weekends of the month impacted by severe weather warnings I was getting nervous. Today was much better and I managed to get a metric century out to Ribblesdale. Thanks to the challenge organisers without who I’d probably not gone quite so far today but loved every minute.

Come on @CarbonClem!

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
So that should make it 10 finishers this year. One down on last year.

Thanks to the BikeRadar squad for arriving like the cavalry and boosting our numbers, otherwise it would have been a poor showing.

If we are very good @steverob may be along before the end of the year with some stats.

I would like to join for next year.
What is the format for posting, please?
Basically, take a look at the 2025 MCAM thread (linked here) to get a good idea of how people post their ride details. There will be a new thread for the 2026 challenge, which will probably be started by whichever one of us is brave enough to log a ride first in January.

This "Chatzone" thread will continue regardless of year and if you have any queries, please post them on here and someone will give you an answer I'm sure.

But basically, do one 100km outdoor ride per month for the next 12 months and you're golden (or rather silver, cause the gold star goes to those in the Imperial Century club).

While we’re discussing format - is there an easy way to select the whole of a previous post, in order to copy & paste?
I find pulling the selection tab over a long post difficult on a phone.
Maybe I’m just being dim.

I think you want reply as I have done here, if I understand correctly.
