They are just a bit clean cut for me. I prefer a bad lad!
(Plus I'm probably old enough to be D'artagnan's mother!)

My missus loves D'artagnan! The characters are based on the Dumas characters but that's about all. A nice formulaic programme for Sunday evenings. It's been beefed up for a modern audience. The Three Musketeers is my all time favourite novel.
I preferred Dogtanian from the 80's

Dumas never let accuracy get in the way of a good story so why should his adapters?

Is there a trio of male students, out on the razz, who HAVEN'T at some point dubbed themselves "The Three Must-Get-Beers" ?

Enjoyed it after the first few episodes once I got into it but D'artagnan reminded me of him out of TOWIE or Made in Chelsea (just forget which one) which my daughter watches but to me is utterly soul destroying. Agree with the lack of authentic accents which spoiled it a little though.

Authentic accents? So you want to hear the actors putting on a 17th century French accent. Is this like a period 'Allo 'Allo?

FWIW, Dumas'(1) book is being serialised on Radio 4 Extra at the moment. Iplayer or Sunday morning and afternoon.

Hands up who pronounces it "dumb ass" like wot he does in the Shawshank Redemption.
