Ooh, I must ring Country Kitchen to confirm that they are open on the Bank Holiday. (It would be daft to shut when loads of tourists will be about, but we don't want to get there and find it so!)

Done - they are open both Bank Holidays 09:00 - 17:00!

Even if they were going to be closed, now they know Steve is on his way they'll open up especially, think of the money they'd be missing out on

Competition for Lantern Rouge(sp) could be quite fierce this time, unless jelly legs Shaun puts in a guest appearance for a change ;)

I'm a maybe, I'm waiting to hear about some work but if I'm not working I'll join you. Probably as far as Waddington and then ride home from there. (after cake obviously)

I'm mightily tempted by this as you are passing my hoose, virtually. We've got Newcastle at home that very day though. Let me give it some thought and I'll come back to you.

I'd like to have been able to do this ride, but my geared bike is not quite

ready, still waiting on some bits arriving in the post

and they're probably not gonna arrive till sometime next week

I'll be up for the Bowland jaunt though
See you for that one then!

At the slow speeds I'm currently riding at - no way would you be back in time!

See you for a forum ride later in the year. (I've forgotten - are you free for the Bowland ride on the 15th?)

Can i tag on the back for this chaps.
As you know, i know all of these roads a little too well - very close contact with some of them.
That's 9.45am at the same car park in Hebden Bridge - yes?

The day before, Sunday 1 May, i'm doing the Sanctuary of Healing Sportive - starting at Lango, Whalley.
It's 96 or 60 miles - depending how i feel when i wake up.
The week after that Sunday 8 May is The Rivington 100 starting at Bolton.
The week after that Saturday 14 May is The Kegs & Legs starting at Oldham
The day after that Sunday 15 May, is of course the CC Bowlands Ride.

May is shaping up to be a busy old month.

(still waiting for the manufacturers report on that broken carbon seatpost - at least i know where the sleeping policeman is now Colin!!!)

You'll be at the back for all of 2 minutes Gordon, before you go flying off up the hills

When are you changing your username before the trades description act comes into play? ;)
