You would think they could have made the writing a bit easier to read.![]()
Does that mean they use Henry hoovers for ... well ... you knowHands up if anyone else can claim that some of their best friends are numismatists...
I also heard of one person spending silly money for a test coin without realising it's not legal tender.
The £2 trial coin from 1994 is, apparently, one of the most collectible British coins. The Royal Mint issue test coins to the various companies who make vending machines, parking meters, self-service tills etc. months in advance of the issue of new coins to allow them to make adjustments to their mechanisms and roll out an update plan for machines in the field. About 200,000 of the new £1 test coins were issued last year to these companies (as well as to banks) and some of them have made their way on to eBay, where they've sold for silly money.
People are paying stupid money for coins dated 2016 - not realising there's several billion of them going into circulation. I also heard of one person spending silly money for a test coin without realising it's not legal tender.
Got two.The £2 trial coin from 1994 is, apparently, one of the most collectible British coins.
That will be the magnetic strip (the black bar on the back of the card) being affected by the magnet, not the chip.My wife's bank and costa card both threw a wobbler after she started keeping them in her phone cover thing.
