It's not as angst generating as thinking that one's paternal heritage is Jamaican only to find that it's Portuguese

The bad news is that I caught my first cold in 3 years.

The good news is that I have been feeling well enough to take the punishment, whereas it might have finished me off in summer/autumn 2012.

The bad news (continued) is that I had hoped to make a good start to the cycling year but that will probably be delayed by a week or two now.

The good news (continued) is that I can still walk about the hills as long as I take my time.

You know, you really don't look Portuguese so I can imagine the shock! Not that I'm an expert.
