It is of sorts - covers certain culinary delights if I recall correctly.

Literary fun aside, Orwell's non-fiction has had a huge influence on my view of the world even 35 years after I last read it.

Replying to my own post is probably a gaffe of some sort, but prompted by the George Orwell theme I've just treated myself to a boxed set of hardback editions of his reportage stuff. Down and Out, Wigan Pier, Catalonia etc to replace my old paperbacks.

When I was reading 'Wigan Pier' at work, & it's a copy with photographs, one of the younger Nurses did ask how old the photographs were
She was shocked, & presumed them to be Victorian, going by the dereliction & decay

I'm sure I managed to convince someone else that the photographs were of Barnsley, in the 1970's:angel:

This is the cover of my copy, but I can't find any of the internal photographs, or anything similar

Yes, Barnsley, circa 1976?!
