Easily the nicest Wetherspoons pub I have ever been in. Fabulously opulent looking.

Get off the train at Lime Street Station, cross the concourse and pay a visit. You won't regret it, I promise.

I have to leave it in about 9 minutes, sadly.

I quite like most of the Wetherspoons pubs I have been in; apart from one or two in rough areas which tend to attract dodgy clientele enticed by the low prices.
They are in the process of converting an old premises locally, and should be opening in the near future. Local publicans are up in arms about it, but their objections to the licensing board fell upon deaf ears. They are now cacking themselves as the trade has been on its knees for long enough, without this latest bit of competition. People will go to whichever pub best suits their needs, so some of them might need to pull their socks up!

It was Staropramen. Two pints thereof. Served in an old-fashioned mug.

Not been in for a while, but I liked the Hamilton Hall in the ballroom of the former Station Hotel at Liverpool Street in the City of London.
