you're right. Mainly rubbish. I was still Aztec bars several years after they were withdrawn from sale. The Army bought up all the remaining stock and put them in the ration packs. This was before sell by and use by dates

My completely original Dawes Lightning that I bought new in 1981 from an LBS in Workington... never had a scary incident with it even in the wet, probably because I wasn't going fast enough to get into bother.
