What is it with people today? Firstly I nearly get wiped out by a slovakian registered lorry, then I get a few impatient pricks who gesticulate towards the pavement, there was not enough room for them to pass while I was climbing a hill.

Just hope my luck changes for the ride home this afternoon.

Quiet for me today (touch wood) but I had two cabbies try and run me off the road yesterday and saw 3 RTC's on the way home involving two wheeled vechicles. :?

My current route takes me along a mile and a half of straight road with several cross streets and sets of lights and I swear some one tried to left hook me at every single blasted junction today.

My luck didn't change this afternoon. I had the biggest display of lunacy by WVM, this guy must of been in a complete world of his own and anything around his van didn't matter.

Best way to picture the scene is here: http://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&l...KbXW4pr0zSa0jPBXEjEILw&cbp=12,142.32,,0,30.66
I am in the same position as the red car in that google maps picture wanting to go straight across the mini roundabout. I look behind and I see WVM approaching, fair enough most traffic comes up to queue for the mini roundabout. However WVM was an impatient prick and tried to overtake at the pinch point and didn't have enough room, so beeps his horn. On the other side of the roundabout he does something even more childish, he starts to try and force me off the road. Unfortunately for him he had his company emblazoned all over his van.

About time I get a camera I think.

Nasty, Matthames!

I had the same experience. in the last two days, the drivers have gone from being benignly stupid in their metal boxes to being downright dangerous and vicious.

My list of idiots includes the usual suspects: WMV, BMW drivers, people carriers, lorries. I hope it will all end very soon!

Is it due to the fact that they are all queuing in traffic more due to the horrendous number of road works? I'd say 4 miles of my 6 mile commute to work was spent filtering past stationary vehicles.

I wish it were as simple as too much traffic--on my commute yesterday and my (absolutely lovely & sunny) lunchtime ride today, the traffic was actually very light.

Hmmf!

You shouldn't have to put up with this sort of rubbish but I've found going down Filsham Rd I get less aggro than Harley Shute as it's easier to hit a keeping up with traffic speed.

Not that that would have helped in this case if you'd had to slow for the roundabout though.

Wasn't a Kiley's Carpets van was it? I've had trouble with them before.

It was somebody who does conservatories and home improvements. I can't remember the name now, just wishing I had a camera on me and would of had them shamed on youtube.

Well after saying yesterday was uneventful I turned out to be wrong.

Half a mile from home going at a fair pace I can see a car wanting to turn right across my path. He's seen me as he did the stop shuffle forward stop before attempting his next daft manouver. Deciding that I'm only a cyclist he goes for it, to make matters worse he doesn't complete the exit into the side road and blocks my path and even worse the idiot was on a mobile phone. Easily avoid as I'd predicted that he was an idiot but for forms sake I followed him and gave him a piece of my mind although I'm not sure he understood but his wife in the passenger seat did.
