It all starts this weekend in Bahrain.

Any predictions folks? Will the one tank of fuel policy make a difference? What about Lewis and Button on the same team. Will a fierce rivalry occur? Will Shumacker win any races? He is 9th at the moment in qualifying.

It looks to be a really interesting season.

I like the lack of fuel stops, they can't refuel now until the end of the race. Hamilton and Button look pretty equal and Schumie hasn't found the sweet spot yet.

Definitely looking interesting at the moment.

I disliked fuel stops very much for the first few seasons after 1994 but you get used to it, and due to all the u-turns the FIA make over KERs, traction control, mini winglets etc you end up getting used to what doesn't get undone the following season !

I think Hamilton and Button will be fine. I'm glad Red Bull was up there rather than Alonso and his big head immediately being on pole. Massa loves Bahrain so that wasn't a surprise for me but well done to the guy after those nasty injuries. Biggest surprise was Renault and Kubica getting in the top ten.

I really like the changes they've made to Bahrain.

Vettel on pole.

Looks like he's picking up from where he left off at the end of last season.
Shumacker 7th, not a bad start to his comeback.

Michael could have gone about half a second quicker from the times I think. But 4th onwards was pretty tight. Good session anyway.

Interesting stuff. Chandok impressed me, even though he qualified last. Imagine the first time behind the wheel of an F1 car being during qualifying!

It seems weird watching it on the telly: I'm normally scrutineering with my dad and my brother. My dad's operating the weighbridge this year, I spotted him twice while watching the qualifying.

Just seen the extra length on the cars to accommodate the bigger fuel tanks. It looks like the handling will be interesting on the first bend at the start.

Silly not letting the drivers physios onto the grid, considering Rory fecking Bremner had a pass.

Which was the point Martin Brundle was making.. bit silly really. Load of hangers on and celebrities(?) but not the people that matter.

Vettel did well, shame about the exhaust problem. Vettel for champion
Button showed that last year's win was just a fluke and he is back to his rightful place mid-field.
