Anyone else planning on getting out of bed at 5 tomorrow morning for the qualifying?

Get out of bed?

5am is 4-5 hours before I will get to bed after my night watch!!!

May watch it on my break, but I prefer to record and watch it on my 40 inch sony at home after I get up tommorow afternoon.

Lets just hope there is a bit more action this weekend!
Go Lewis

I like to have a bet on the F1 races. Usually I'd bet on Alonso (but I'd also often put one of the rank outsiders on too, just cos the odds were so high!), but for the first time, didn't and he went and won!

I've got Barrichello on to win at 80/1, so hopefully he'll win!

Yes Button! What a way to reply to all those critics who said he had no chance against Hamilton!(there were a couple on this forum even). Felt a bit sorry for Hamilton though, he drove very well as well. Buttons decision to switch to the slicks so early on was genious though, big call.

Has anyone else spotted the cycle contraflow on the home straight? It took me sometime to realise that the Melbourne circuit is a public road. Now that would be a giggle to ride around.

Great to see Button win and Hamilton bitching at his team

I would've liked to see Mark Webber have a better race than he did though

I would'nt say it was a bitch, he was just questioning the the call to bring him for a fresh set of rubber, when that stop lost him track position.

Hamilton seemed to suffer from a distinct losing of his cool by on-radio bitching about his team - and then to be taken out by Webber.. Then the post-race finding it hard to bite the tongue about the team again.

Oh, it was a bitch alright ... he was furious. As Brundle said, whatever the rights and wrongs of his pitstop call, the radio during the race is not really the time to have that conversation. Hamilton is alright when everything's going well - he drove brilliantly in the first part of the race - but he doesn't handle pressure well sometimes. Button drove faultlessly, Webber was both unlucky and a bit of an idiot with that banzai move on Hamilton, and Schumacher seems to have returned with the sole intention of tarnishing his reputation.;) And it was a fantastic race.

I wonder if Hamilton's going through a bit of a rebellious phase. He was nurtured by Ron Dennis, and that link is gone. Didn't he remove his Dad from the position of being his manager too? Got his popstar girlfriend... massive success and wealth at a young age.. is it going to his head now?

Oh, and I felt sorry for Vettel, too. Button may have won even if Vettel's car hadn't packed up, but he may well not have.

It was quite interesting that McLaren completely arsed up Button's wisely taken pit stop perhaps in part as he just turned up out of the blue in the pits. That and the few seconds Button lost when he came out. I feel sorry for Vettel too, but I'm not worried. Webber lost it this weekend too I mean great entertainment from Hamilton and Webber and bits of very good driving but they both went a bit crazy. I don't think Hamilton's criticism is justified at all and he'll probably realise it when he's left Australia.
