It'll have been 35 years +, since I last drunk coffee
Someone gave me a cup, & the milk must have been going off, & I had a skin from it stuck around my tonsils...............................
Never touched coffee since, & I can't justify to myself spending what they seem to charge for all these fancy coffees nowadays
Hence, I'll stick to tea (Yorkshire, but will drink other brands if I have to)
I'm a southerner. HTH.

I had a similar experience with beer when I was 17...

A mug of tea has to look and smell strong before I take out the bag.
Mashing is acceptable in a hurry, but far better to leave the bag to steep for several minutes (and maybe mash a bit as I take out the bag).
Then finish off with a healthy glug of semi-skimmed. Perfect.
Burn the heretics that put a teabag into cold milk and then add water. That does not make a cup of tea.
