i ask mrs if she wants tea or coffee and i can forget in the 10 secs it takes to walk to the kitchen

She won't notice anyway.

I realised I was getting old yesterday when a pension lump sum dropped in my bank account!

We went out for a meal last night, and everything about the place made me feel old! The "server" referred to us all as "my lovelies", and was also wearing a big dangly earring. The other servers were all young and heavily tattoed, wearing very short shorts/skirts and very tight t-shirts. I had no problem with it, but how times have changed. We would have been told to wear smarter clothes, longer clothes

Just tried to like/love a post in this thread, but had already done so. It was the first post in the thread, from 6 years ago.

Then got deja vu when writing this post, and had to check i hadn't written something similar already!

It's not so much 'realisation of getting old', more like 'losing my marbles'!

There’s a barmaid inn our local, she's quite tall and always quite elegantly dressed. She's also got a strong Dorset accent, alternating between " thank you moi luvvr " and " moi 'andsome " when serving drinks.
