Early on this year I decided to fully retire as I was semi-retired for the last year working 20 hours a week. One of my goals now that I'm really retired was to get more retired guys like me out on the bike. I have friends that have bikes and some that don't (I have extra trail bikes) and wanted to share this great sport that I've loved since I was a kid. We are about six weeks into this adventure and it's been a blast. I have new guys coming up and asking about joining us on a regular basis. the only thing I tell them before they join us is to not make this there first time on a bike in years. So i have one bike being used right now with him joining us in a few weeks and another who sent his bike to the bike shop for a tune up so he could join us soon. On this ride we had four of us and just had a good old time playing in some mud and a few little water puddles. We've been mixing it up from paved and unpaved rail trails to some good forest fire roads and single-track trails.
