The poor lad was feeling a wee bit tired most of the time...

I'm sure if you chatted to him in a pub post-racing season, pre-training season, he'd have a bit more enthusiasm for telling stories and jokes!

My bike-riding time is also my thinking time, so you'd think that with all those hours he spent in the saddle each day he'd have a full cabaret act ready to perform each evening for the cameras wouldn't you?
