Even if they weren't a bunch of scamming shysters and their boss didn't rival a few others for the title of Europe's most obnoxious businessman this would be enough to persuade me that I wanted to avoid using the green flying bus.

Unhappy pilots are not safe pilots.
There is absolutely nothing in Ryanair's safety record to support your assertion

Mod note:

Let's stick to the Ryanair shuffle theme please - nice and light for Cafe.

If anyone wishes to start a low cost airways and its impact on the environment thread, that would sit nicely in NACA. Ditto safety records if indeed there are any current issues regarding this.

Thanks

Four of us are flying from Carcassonne on Monday. I booked all the tickets in one transaction meaning all can be checked in at the same time. It was three clicks in the Ryanair app.

As I did the check in I was warned we "might" get random seats. Of course we did and have no concerns over this.

While I don't care it strikes me as the action of a spoilt child rather than a major airline. Childish in the extreme.

Ryanair can't be worse than Flybe. I was supposed to catch a 14:25 flight from Dublin to Southampton yesterday, but it was cancelled, probably because of the bad weather. I re-booked onto the next flight that was supposed to leave at 20:50, but it was delayed by an hour. As it was so late leaving, Southampton Airport closed before it could land, so it was diverted to Bournemouth. We were taxied back to Southampton Airport, but the trains had stopped running for the night, and we couldn't wait in the airport because it was closed. Spent the night walking around Southampton looking for a McDonalds that was open.

Ryanair in the news today -

Only those paying £6/€6 for priority boarding will be able to take a small suitcase of up to 10kg in the cabin.

That option is cheaper than the £8/€8 charge to check in a 10kg bag.

That'll be why the priority queue is now longer than the ordinary queue.

How long until we see a Priority Gold queue?

On the seating. Sometime it may look a bit odd, everyone sat towards the back. This is to trim the aircraft. The weight and balance calculations take in the amount of fuel, cargo, number and weight of bags. Passenger weight is averaged, (I seem to remember it increasing some years back).

The new baggage rule is what Ryanair has been after for a long time. If you want to travel with us you pay to take your luggage.

Thd bag I carry for a weeks holiday can still come on board with me. It will be handbag fees next.
