Whatever the result, as a Yorkshireman 1st and foremost, then English, British and European, I'm appalled at the poor quality of debate on both sides.

It seems to me that it is little better than a school yard slanging match. Neither side can, or maybe don't want to, answer the economic questions that will make or break a separate Scotland and the No campaign is now using open bribery for the Scots to stay.

I for one will be glad when next Friday comes and win or lose the Scots will have to stand by their collective decision.

This is why I will most likely (but still not sure) be voting no.
On the one hand it seems like a great opportunity; but there remains waaay too many unanswered questions. Or rather, unanswerable until we see how things work out, questions.
Alex Salmond, president in waiting, is not at all reassuring. The safe vote is the no vote IMHO.. That's not to say that I always go with safe, in many walks of life. Depends on my mood on Thursday!

Good luck with the decision. friends who have visited Scotland recently report a fair amount of ill feeling between the confirmed Yes and No camps. Hopefully whatever the outcome this can be mended and not fester like the Miner's Strike has done in my village.

I'm a 'Yes'..
I find that like @Brandane too many questions are left hanging but the poor 'Better Together' campaign which unites the Tories (:rofl:), Lib Dems (:laugh:) and Labour(:o):o)) which only answers nothing..
Wee Eck has caused a stooshie not seen before since 1707 when we got sold out by a Parcel of Rogues for English gold..for that I praise the man.

Violence between the two factions? nah but I 'claim' you Brandane outside the Cumbraen at 6pm Sunday night....:laugh:, ya 'No' voter;)

I didn't get sent there until 1982, so missed out on that. 1982 to 2001 was my era..
