The Mayor said it's wonderful to meet a 104 year old so full of life, "He's got all his faculties".

C'mon, he's been going to Skeggy for 94 years, he can't quite be all there.

Still, Good on Mr Pope I reckon.

I can sort of see why it would work... A regular visit to Skeggy must make almost anywhere else seem fresh, interesting and beautiful. The whisky ius used to numb the pain of having to go back next year.....

Or perhaps he keeps returning on the off-chance that they've finally seen sense and bulldozed the whole place into the north sea.

43 miles east of Lincoln. If you were in Illinois, this would put you near Champaign-Urbana, but there seems to be a sea near this one.

Situated in the worst bunch of coastline towns in the UK, even Lincolnshire people seldom go down to the coast. It is as far as I know the only county that has coastal towns not even one is worth visiting.
