I've never been to any east Coast 'resort'. I always thought Skegness was in Scotland until disabused of this notion by some loud guffawing at an earlier age.

I have though spent a lot of time in Rhyl when younger and I suspect this may have actually shortened my life, so I think Mr Pope's secret is in fact the Whisky. We need to know the brand.

I've been to Cleethorpes, worked in Grimsby many times, Mablethorpe, and when we went to Skegness my daughter asked why there were so many mobility scooters around.

I spared them the delights of Boston though.

Some people get to a certain age and think 'ok, I am now old so time to slow down', it is very refreshing to know there are folks out there who disregard age and just get out there and enjoy life. My female colleague will be 40 next month and is 'dreading it', I told her straight, there is nothing wrong with being 40, nothing changes only your perception of yourself.
