That is a phishing email.

They generally originate outside the UK and one of the tell tales which should alert you not to open any link or have anything to do with it is the poor english.

If it's from a bank you do business with then forward it to their fraud prevention email address.

I do wonder why people fall for these scams, and they obviously do or they would have stopped years ago.

Do they really believe that someone is going to send them $7.5 million in cash all for the cost of delivery?

As you say redjedi, some saps do fall for these scams:ohmy: Then they wonder why they have been cleaned out and start complaining and shouting to whoever will listen as if was someone else's fault

As others have said it's a scam. I do agree though that the standard of English is dropping. You only have to look at Facebook for examples. My young relatives are abysmal. I couldn't even read one status - I'm usually not too bad at deciphering "txt speak" but this was in a league of its own. It really does sadden me that they are too lazy to write a proper coherent sentence nowadays. It's obviously "not cool".

yep, it's definitely a scam. contact your bank to check and forward the email to them.

Orange contacted me the other day and a woman with a very european accent asked me if i had received my free phone (weird, i thought i had a phone fund with them!) so i said No. They said, can we just check your address, is the postcode B** *RP.

Actually, that's my mum's postcode (which it is possible they have it coz i can't remember if i had my phone before i left my mum's) but by this time my suspicions were raised so i just said No. and they said is it W8 *** (some London postcode). So i said No, and the more i talk to you the more this sounds like a scam.

They put the phone down.

Phoned Orange to tell them but the first bloke that answered sounded more foreign than the woman i'd just spoken to, and he couldn't understand what i was talking about or even what i was saying, and the second person i spoke to clearly wasn't interested.

The only thing I would suggest is don't bother reporting it, just ignore. Reporting is a waste of time. Believe me, they know.

I know it's a phishing scam, I do not bank with the CO-OP (although I have used their shops in the past and paid in cash!).

Yes, you need to be both stupid and greedy for it to work.

Things are always someone else's fault. I've just seen the parents of one of these Scunthorpe kids who has probably died of mephedrine poisoning. "It should have been banned. He would still be alive otherwise". Well of course you have to feel sorry for such a pointless death, but really - Nitromors is legal but I wouldn't dream of downing a bottle before going out clubbing, no matter how happy someone told me it would make me feel.

Listening to Mr Darling on the Budget. He has just said " .... to help x number of people find work quicker .. "

I think it should have been "find work more quickly".

What on earth is the "Claim Camp"?
