Yeah, they've produced some good stuff.

I could never understand how 'Always The Sun' never got higher in the pop charts, it barely made it in?

Started young, and still going.
I saw them several times at the old Rainbow in Finsbury Park in the late 70's, early eighties. I really should go and see them again. Pity there is no Hugh Cornwall though.

Moi aussi!

Cambridge Corn Exchange either '75 or '76 before their first album was released.

Now I bet that was a great gig. I also see them in the early days, very raw energy!

We were lucky in that CAmbridge had a series of these "New Wave" artists
We saw the Sex Pistols, Stranglers, The Damned, the Clash and the Jam as they were first starting out.

It was weird as we would go and see a band like the Clash one week and Focus or Curved Air the following a fine mix of Punk and Prog!

I got their first three albums, and sort of gave up on them after that. Rattus Norvegicus will always be a classic. As will "No More Heroes". Black and White had its moments too.
Jet Black is 70, isn't he?

No idea that you were Australian!

Anyway, Hugh Cornwell was on at the Wickerman festival this summer. Did a load of old Stranglers stuff.
