Have seen bits of the last 3 episodes. Could the BBC show anything more depressing if they tried  How about some feel-good-TV for my TV Licence payer's £s

Is it a gritty and unpleasant drama about gritty and unpleasant people being grittily unpleasant to each other by any chance?

Apart from last week's relatively poor episode, the series has been nothing short of superb. Well written, well acted and a stellar cast. Tonight's episode was one of the very best and I for one salute the BBC for presenting top class drama like this for we viewers.

+ 1. I think The Street is great. This series probably not as good as the other 2 but certainly one not to miss.

Great series-I think it touched a raw nerve with some folks as it shows how our weaknesses and intolerances can destroy all those around us while all the time thinking that we are better than most. Long may it run!
