Presumably Mrs R is now reclining on her burgundy velvet chaise longue, being fed peeled grapes and being wafted gently by a fan... [who might that be].

Mrs R and I had planned to cycle up the North Sea Coast path and tour round Denmark in June, this year. On Monday Mrs R had a major accident on her bike riding along a canal towpath and has broken both her arms. She had reconstructive surgery on Tuesday and has had wires inserted in her wrist and elbow. She's now home and recovering but has got both arms in plaster. The casts will be on for at least 8 weeks.

It seems her front wheel got caught in a crack between two flag stones and she was catapulted over the bars. Luckily she didn't suffer any spinal or head injuries. She was treated at our local hospital, Barnet General, where the staff where fantastic - particularly one A&E nurse, Julia.

I'm now planning a suitable summer activity - which may be walking the Pennine Way.
I know 2 people that have cycled into the water from a towpath due to a momentary loss on concentration! It must be quite common. Dangerous place to cycle then.
