Just back from seeing it at my local cinema. Great film and great acting. If you want to watch a good film, this is the one to see.

I saw the original with Ben Cumberbatch, does this new version tell anything new?

I thought it was really dull. Quite boring.

Redmayne was a shoo-in for the Oscar, of course; his is just the kind of performance that The Academy likes but he may have blown it with Jupiter Ascending which they might not forgive him for.

For me, Birdman is a better film and so is Whiplash. And Inherent Vice.
