Without appropriate exemplars the scale is subjective and meaningless Nihal.

Please supply suitable incidents for each of the points on the scale to facilitate the accuracy of its application.

I'd claim myself a 2 or 3, very seldom having mishaps and being a cautious type who overthinks things, if anything.

The huge number of mis-matched sets of crockery, though, suggests that there are a couple who are less vigilant round here, though, and I swear that there is not a crisis which Mrs Norm cannot make worse.

For instance, about 15 years ago, I was studying for exams and Mrs Norm had gone shopping. She walked in with her arms full of stuff and, two steps inside the door, felt one of the bags slipping. She let go of whatever was in her left hand to grab the bag, which turned out to be a bag of donuts. The thing which was in her left hand was a 10l tin of black exterior wood paint, to re-do the garage doors, which burst open as it hit the floor and covered everything within about 3m. Whilst the walls and skirting was sanded down and covered, eventually, in layers of magnolia or sunburst or whatever, we never did get it out of the carpet.

But it's ok, as the donuts were saved.

8. This year I have sprained both ankles and broken one (all at different times). Very little cycling done this year :-(

I think I've got too much OCD/autism to be clumsy, although I'm not immune from the odd mishap.

I don't/didn't buy expensive gadgets or asked for them as presents because i either break or lose them. I have sat on mobile phones whilst in my pocket, breaking the screen. I have fallen asleep while wearing glasses and woke up with them crushed on the floor. I used to receive expensive cigarette lighters(when i smoked slightly )only to either lose them or to break them.
A few years ago i opened a cupboard halfway up the stairs only for a full tin of emulsion paint to fall out destroying the new(ish) carpet. I must be the only one to claim for this common "accident" and for the claim to be actually genuine! Unfortunately the insurance firm didn't believe me and rejected my claim!!!

I was once run over by a cart I was pulling. It was on a downhill slope, I slipped, and it kept going......

I now have the scars on my fingers where I tried to stop it to prove it!

Not me (although I actually saw it happen), I remember at school once, a Primary 7 accidentally spilt milk over one of the tills in the dinner hall, causing it to stop working and seriously annoying the till operator as result.

I can't remember exactly what happened, but I think her parents had to pay for it!
