Has anyone been to see this film? Have you also read the book? I have heard/read mixed reviews of this, and wondered if anyone on here had seen it.

Really liked the book, mrs d went to see the the film and said it wasn't bad but they'd concentrated on the romantic aspects of the story.

I've read the book. I liked the idea behind it but didn't think the book was very well written.

Just to be different I listened to the audiobook but the narrator was strangely soporific and I found myself drifting off..not good if you're on a Jubilee line train and you have to get off at Canary Warf!

Not sure what I expected Speicher but this was a disappointment. Time travel and its implications are often great fun in a "Back to the Future" kind of way but this tale was quite lame. It boiled down to a simple romance and failed, IMO, to use time travel to full advantage. I found myself waiting for it to finish.

Later I tried to read the book but found the style weak. Perhaps I am just too critical!

I heard the book is great but the film a bit rubbish, so am reading the book first.
