Zero? No oil changes in 85k miles?

To clarify, it never saw a garage except to replace the tyres/exhaust - with the oil, I just dribbled a bit in the top if it got low, but it never got 'replaced' as in a proper oil change. I was young and skint, so my reasoning was if it is running, why take it to a garage?

Some of them burned so much oil that "proper" oil changes weren't needed anyway. In effect the oil was probably being replaced by topping up to replace the burnt off stuff.

Yeah - I used to love the look of the GSi's both Cavalier & Astra *the Astra was much nicer*
Not to mention the banzai 4wd Cavalier and Calibra turbos. Real cossie killers, or they would have been if but one single car had actually competed a journey without breaking.

Back in the day the motors were quite sought after for transplant into Novas!

A mates dad had a Calibra 4x4 turbo company car, which was a very, very quick car. So quick that it got stolen 3 times in the first six months that he had it...recovered each time and repaired, but after the third time the firm got rid of it and told him he had to get something a little less nickable.
