This thread is only for the logging of your qualifying ride.
PLEASE DO NOT POST ANYTHING ELSE BUT QUALIFYING RIDES IN THIS THREAD

To log a ride, add a post containing all of your 50km virtual rides this year, with the date, distance, type of turbo, and a Strava or other e-link. Do not just post a link.

Photos, maps, and subjective thoughts on the ride or the challenge in general should go elsewhere: perhaps the 'my ride today' thread.

The rules are:
  • You must complete at least one virtual (stationary) ride of least 50km in each calendar month. If you miss a month then you are out of the challenge until next year.
  • The 50km must be in a single ride and counts in the month it starts (if across midnight). Breaks for meals, repairs, sightseeing etc. are allowed, but two or more separate shorter rides on the same day may not be aggregated.
  • The requirement is that all qualifying rides should be completed stationary. If it is not possible to ride stationary for over a month due to e.g. serious injury, mechanical issues or overwhelming mind-stability threatening boredom, there is a possibility for an exemption to be granted to use a real outdoor ride in its place on a one off basis - however this must be agreed in advance with the challenge admin (OP). Note that any exemptions would be considered one-offs, with all other rides in the challenge still needing to be stationary virtual rides.
  • You may join the challenge in any month during the calendar year (since the idea is to provide motivation to complete at least one 100km ride per month, every month), but you can only join once per calendar year (since a key element of the challenge is to encourage consistency), i.e. If you miss a month, you should wait until the following calendar year to rejoin. Obviously, January is the best month to join, because that's the only way you can claim a full calendar year.
Please post your rides by amending your 'first' post on each occasion.

Good luck all.
