I waited in for three and a half days this week for a wheel that never came, and missed out on some fine weather for leisure cycling on the spare bike:sad:
Then I discovered it had been incorrectly labelled and delivered elewhere:sad:.
This morning the delivery driver retrieved it from the unoccupied house it had been left at and delivered it to me:smile:, so now it is on the bike and waiting for the gales to subside so that I can road test it.
It's been a long week:sad:

I was more fortunate. I checked the courier website from work and noted it said "delivered". Got home to a card through my door with absolutely nothing written on it. Phoned the number on the card and was told the number it was taken to, halfway down the street! Thankfully they were at home

Hope they do too

Bothered oven spoke count for a while (20/24 or 24/28) and decided that strength at the expense of a few grammes was more important to me. Overall weight saving over stock is expected to be worth it and plan to get scales out tomorrow when I get time to mount tubes and tyres

Just put stock and new wheels up against each other on the scales. New ones come in at 780g lighter. Will get out later and see if I can notice it

Are they the archetype rims? I have got those rims on some Hope Pro2 Evo hubs, with discs on my wet weather / winter bike.

The Hope hubs have a particularly loud free wheel, when riding in. Group it tells everyone that you are able to maintain their pace without pedalling. Not the most subtle ways of saying speed up, but effective.

They are indeed. As they will be my fair weather wheels I got them with Novatec hubs (not the super light ones as I heard the bearing wear rate is terrible)

Didn't go too far today as the wind was a bit blustery however they seem to spin up easier that the old wheels.
