I had a phone call this morning from some friends of mine. Ages ago, they'd arranged that they were going to come round and see our new house today, and of course, I'd completely forgotten about it. Far from idling about all morning as I'd planned, I've had to tidy the place up, go shopping and get a beef and Guinness stew on the go in the slow cooker. Just got to get the veg and spuds ready to cook, then I'll have to go to work. Phew!
