I'm sorry to have to report that Scotch pie variants deliver less than they promise. I didn't let it get me down as I discovered the joys of this pleasure in a bottle at Knockengorroch festival at the weekend.

A few glugs later and things started to look taller.

The chips were the redeeming feature of the pie truck. The pies were OK as festival fare goes but I found myself at the Johnny Baghdad's felafel stall for most of the weekend's food that I purchased.
