You might as well poke a few holes in a bin bag and wear that.
In the 60's I used to have a cape for my steel BSA. It was enormous and fitted over the front and back mudguards. It fastened round my neck. It was made of very heavy waxy cloth. It weighed a ton,I used to have a cape (the cyclist type) you could get some right speed up with a tail wind

It covered my (dynamo) lights!
It was great riding along with on though, toastie warm and dry.
Not meant to be aero, they are to assist braking, like these military aircraft that deploy a parachute on landing., not exactly very aero are they![]()
