Can you fit a ground anchor?
I have two of my bikes mounted on the garage wall with a ground anchor to secure them on the wall. Its awkward with the key, so gotta be more difficult without (I hope) My 3rd bike I've had to make a portable ground anchor as there's no more wall space. A D lock half exposed from a bucket of concrete, makes it too difficult to carry bike & bucket (fingers crossed)
Hoping you've scared them from coming back again. We had 3 guys prowling round a few months back, but next door heard them & they scarpered, luckily without damaging or taking anything & dont think they've been back since

Turns out something wasn't right, 2 miles down the road and off comes the rear derailleur. http://www.cyclechat.net/threads/rear-derailleur-ripped-off.159511/

The shed has a concrete wall and floor, so anchors are a potential. To be honest, I am going to keep the bike in my room in future!

And if the ****** that did this were to have their necks snapped and fed on by vultures, I would think they got away easily.
