Things to do in UK in early August?

Asking for daughter-in-law. Coming from Holland to Cornwall for a week but wants to do someting else as well. Any festivals, outdoor events, exhibitions?

it's the summer holidays so i would expect there's loads to choose from. Eden project should be on the to-do list... and if she likes history, all the old copper and tin mines, Tintagel, the Neolithic gubbins on the moors. with only a week, she'll be spoilt for choice.

Buy a rain coat, umbrella and wellington boots.......would be my starting point.

The Vintage Sports Car Club have an event at Prescott first weekend in August if that's of any interest.
