An Alfa Romeo Giulietta (sp?) as my first car. A closer inspection revealed a strip of spray-painted gaffer tape holding the windscreen in. I ended up getting a Skoda, and I'm still not 100% convinced I made the right call.

I nearly bought a red Alfa Romeo 155 back in 1998. High mileage but it could shift.

Instead I bought a white Rover 416 saloon.

I'm also not 100% convinced I made the right call, despite the Rover being used in the family until 2006.

I'd be about 8 when I bought an oil painting at a local jumble sale for a shilling (5p) with my pocket money. A huge pirate ship in a gilt frame. Managed to get it home carrying it up the road from the church hall. I remember it being nearly as big as me. My mum went mental and made me take it back. Bugger. Although I may have dodged a bullet with the cat. A friend acquired a cat from the same breeder around about the same time, and saif cat has had digestive issues and weight retention problems right from the outset. Turned out the poor thing was infected with coccidia.

And yes, these people had far too many cats. And yes, they are *still* breeding. From the same group of cats.

Madness.

A Jensen Interceptor. It was a few years after production ceased but not long enough for them to achieve classic status. The guy wanted £1400 and I've always regretted letting it go.

E Types could be had for a song too after production stopped.
