We have another C2W going on at the minute. I was thinking about getting the above but I suppose if I do it will need new tyres, puncture resistant cx tyres, maybe a B17 saddle and mud guards and pannier rack.......which will bring it well above the £1K limit............

What are the tyres like that come with it, anybody?

I believe they use a basic from ritchey, could do better.
I assume you will be touring or commuting as it seems to be the fad at present to do both on cross bikes?
Probably better off getting the mudguards from elsewhere as halfords don't have a great choice, can they order you a B17?

I got the Boardman on the C2W. I took out the full £1k and had to put extra towards everything... but I bought most of the accessories not from Halfords, just made sure I took advantage of the 3 for 2. Think I got two carbon bottle cages and the cycle comp on the voucher.
Tyres look a bit lightweight and flimsy for road use. I could see a few punctures. Extras I can think of - Tyres, tubes, rack, guards, pedals, computer, bottle cages, lights...
It's a good bike though. Worth it.

Yes I can order a B17 I asked them today, so I'll get that, I have most other stuff so I'll just use up the odds in there and source the tyres and rack elsewhere.

Yes le jogger I'll use it for most things, commute and along the South Downs Way.....now just to break the news :=)
