Hi,

not new to riding been back on the bike getting on a year now, regularly commute 18 miles 4 days of the week, but seriously thinking of chopping in my http://www.cannondale.com/2013/bikes/recreation-urban/recreation/quick-cx/quick-cx-4, and picking up a road bike purely for commuting, now I am not looking to spend lots probably up to £600, any recommendations as i am clueless when it comes to road bikes.

would prefer disk brakes if that's possible on low end road bikes, would like to fit mudguards as well as my current bike has mudguards fitted.

Check out Evans Cycles. They have some good roadie bike bargains at the moment. Though for your budget, disc brakes would be hard to find. Up it by a couple of hundred then you will have a pick of disc braked roadies from Fuji, Charge, Dawes, Pinnacle, Norco, Claud Butler...

my LBS is online bikes in buckhurst hill, they stock Scott so there is a chance i would do the trade with them, or i would just end up with n+1 hybrid +new road bike to add to the Scott 29'r i own

that Fuji does look tasty!

Something that comes from C&D a TMN named after User13710
When someone mentions something then someone else mentions a similar thing later on.

I mentioned Evans and Fuji then you did the same in a later post - hence A TMN
you get half a point for not being specific and upping the budget coniderably :becool:
